Most Transit roof racks cost over $4k, require heavy machinery to install and are not DIY friendly. Our brand new modular Transit Mid-Roof rack is half the price, can be installed by a single person in less than a day, and can hold anything and everything (solar panels, light bars, decking, rooftop tents, awnings...etc.)

The side walls are water-jet cut from 3/16" powder-coated aluminum, and mount to the van with 8 brackets that bolt into the Ford factory inserts. Crossbars are black 8020™ aluminum extrusion making it very flexible and easy to mount up other items. The rack comes with 4 crossbars, 1 for the wind fairing, but can hold many many more.

Total weight is 60 lbs.

What size solar panels are compatible with this roof rack?
The rails on our racks are adjustable to accommodate a variety of solar panel sizes. We recommend solar panels that best fit the layout of your roof.

Do you sell solar panels?
No, not at this time. Most solar panels are very similar in quality as they have become commoditized. We normally choose solar panels that best fit our roof layout; this depends on roof fans, cargo boxes, decking or other requirements up top.

Can I attach a light bar to the fairing?
Yes, the fairing mounts to an 8020 cross rail. The 8020 makes it very easy to mount any accessories to it like a light bar. Most light bars come with mounts that will bolt directly to the front 8020 rail.

Above expectations!!

Having purchased our Ford Transit Van just a few weeks before doing business with Curious Campervans Team, we could not expect a better parts/equipment buying experience. We needed a roofrack and some swivel seat bases. Everything was very easy to select (very well described on their site as to what vehicle brand/year/ model fitment). Also very easy and safe payment method (credit card). Quick delivery in a few days shipped from their shop BC, Canada to our home in QC, Canada. All parts well wrapped and nothing missing. Best of all, we had many questions regarding installation (roof rack) that we're quickly answered by the staff, trough e-mail. This roof rack is exactly what we we're hoping for. Our van is a 2022 Ford Transit AWD, 12 passenger, mid roof, 148wb. We have built our own interior layout in a way that it is quickly convertible into a RV for long familly trips (summer vacation), then can be switched to a cargo van for home chores, or flipped into a 12 passenger limo, for soccer events. We are a familly of 4, so our van is named Four\\\\Gone. Hopefully we'll be travelling west and get a chance to stop to say hello to Curious Campervans crew one day!!

Perfect Fit!

Just returned home from our first road trip with the Transit Mid-Roof rack. What a life saver!

From Kayaks to lawn chairs we strapped everything we could think of up there. The adjustable crossbars made it super easy to customize.

Installation was straightforward, and the build quality is solid.

This rack is exactly what I needed and did not add any extra road noise which was a bonus👍

Overall, if you're looking for a reliable roof rack that gets the job done without breaking the bank, I highly recommend this.

The quality and service at Curious Campervans is top notch and they have everything I need and even more of what I want!
