Curious Campervans is a founder-led e-commerce and van conversion business serving customers across Canada and the US. After 7+ years of consistent growth, we’re ready for our next phase — and we’re looking for a high-pace, hands-on operator to help lead it.

This is a senior leadership role with real ownership, autonomy, and upside.

The Opportunity

You’ll take ownership of day-to-day operations across our warehouse, and customer experience, allowing the founder to focus on growth.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead and manage warehouse and operations staff through regular 1:1s, coaching, and accountability
  • Run daily operations across fulfillment, builds, and walk-in customers
  • Own customer experience across phone, email, chat, and in-person
  • Resolve escalations quickly while protecting margins
  • Build and document scalable processes and utilize AI to improve effeciency
  • Develop deep technical knowledge of van conversion products and systems
  • Improve efficiency, accuracy, and delivery timelines
  • Partner closely with the founder on growth initiatives

Compensation & Upside

  • $90,000 base salary

Campervan Build Manager

We are seeking an experienced Build Manager to lead and manage the build process of campervans at Curious. As the Campervan Build Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the entire construction process of campervans, from the initial design to the final product. You will communicate directly with clients, oversee other builders and ensure productivity, and be responsible for sourcing and obtaining necessary supplies. You will be responsible for ensuring all Curious campervans are built to the highest standard of quality, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilites:

  • Oversee the construction of campervans from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to the highest standard of quality.
  • Work with the build team to ensure that all campervans meet the client's requirements and expectations.
  • Manage the build team and ensure that they are following the production schedule and meeting the quality standards.
  • Manage the procurement of materials and equipment needed for the construction process.
  • Monitor and manage the budget for each project, ensuring that all expenses are within the allocated budget.
  • Provide regular progress reports to clients, keeping them informed of the status of their project.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction or a related field. Experience building campervans or other off-grid projects is a significant asset.
  • Strong project management skills and experience overseeing complex construction projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of off-grid systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard of quality.
  • Ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changes in project scope or direction.
  • A passion for the outdoors and adventure.

Campervan Builder with Experience in Finishing Carpentry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campervan Builder with experience in finishing carpentry to join our team. As a Campervan Builder, you will be responsible for constructing and finishing custom campervans from start to finish, including the installation of cabinetry, trim, and other finishing work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build custom campervans from start to finish, including the installation of cabinetry, trim, and other finishing work.
  • Work with the build team to ensure that all campervans meet the client's requirements and expectations.
  • Manage the production process, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to the highest standard of quality.
  • Use hand and power tools to cut and shape materials as needed.
  • Install and adjust doors, windows, and other fixtures as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in construction with a focus on finishing carpentry. Experience working on campervans or other off-grid projects is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard of quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other team members and clients.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.

  • $35/hour
