Most Transit roof racks cost over $4k, require heavy machinery to install and are not DIY friendly. Our brand new modular Transit Mid-Roof rack is half the price, can be installed by a single person in less than a day, and can hold anything and everything (solar panels, light bars, decking, rooftop tents, awnings...etc.)

The side walls are water-jet cut from 3/16" powder-coated aluminum, and mount to the van with 8 brackets that bolt into the Ford factory inserts. Crossbars are black 8020™ aluminum extrusion making it very flexible and easy to mount up other items. The rack comes with 4 crossbars, 1 for the wind fairing, but can hold many many more.

Total weight is 62 lbs.

What size solar panels are compatible with this roof rack?
The rails on our racks are adjustable to accommodate a variety of solar panel sizes. We recommend solar panels that best fit the layout of your roof.

Can I attach a light bar to the fairing?
Yes, the fairing mounts to an 8020 cross rail. The 8020 makes it very easy to mount any accessories to it like a light bar. Most light bars come with mounts that will bolt directly to the front 8020 rail.
