My heater didn’t come with a separate fuel filter. Is that normal, or do I need to buy one separately?
Yes — this is normal. HLN heaters have an integrated fuel filter built into the fuel pump, located on the fuel inlet side under the screw. No separate inline filter is needed. External inline filters are not recommended because many can crack in extreme cold. The integrated filter is designed to operate reliably down to –40°C.
