The RB Smart LCD is a battery display for our newest Micro and Nano series batteries with a RS458 Cat6 port. In addition to the BTBMS smart app, you can have a physical display for real-time monitoring of a single battery.

The RB Smart LCD displays:

All items above are also shown in the Bluetooth app, therefore the LCD is not required to view battery data. The LCD is not made for batteries in series. Comes with either a 3m cable for the LCD or a LCD to female Cat6 port to add your own ethernet cable of any length. Please specify which cable you require when ordering (default is 3m).

Does the SOK battery have low-temperature protection?
Yes. The BMS inside the battery will prevent charging below 0°C in order to protect the cells. It will allow the battery to discharge in freezing temperatures. If you need to charge the battery in freezing temperatures then we recommend the heated versions.

Can I store these SOK batteries in the cold?
The lowest safe storage temperature is -6°C. For any temperatures below this, you should bring them inside or add a heating pad of some sort. If a heating pad runs out of power and the battery falls below -6°C, damage may occur.

Do the SOK batteries fit into a standard "group size" battery box?
No they are likely too big to fit into standard boxes. Many people put them in tool boxes or any enclosed unit that protects them from the elements. The metal case units are not fully waterproof while the plastic case (marine version) are 100% waterproof.

Can I use any charger on the SOK batteries?
Unfortunately this is not an easy question. If you're charger has an equalize charge voltage that is greater than 14.6 volts then it CANNOT be used. Your total charge amperage should not exceed 50 amps per battery. If you have multiple batteries in parallel then you can combine the max charge amperage. Optimal absorption voltage is 14.4-14.6V and float voltage of 13.6-13.8V.

What is the warranty policy?
The batteries have a 7 year manufacturer warranty. If you are having issues with the battery we are here to help. In the rare case of a warranty claim we will ship you a new battery and deal with the claim with SOK. The 7-year warranty covers anything that fails or doesn't stand up to the manufacturers' specs, and includes both the cells inside and the BMS.
