All of our SOK Lithium Batteries are smart, which is why we like to brag about them. How smart you ask though? They have a brain built-in. Referred to as a Battery Management System, or BMS, these batteries protect themselves from surges, over and undercharging issues, temperature fluctuations, and even have built-in Bluetooth capabilities to communicate directly with you via your phone!
We know you’ve already checked out the other SOK 100Ah and are wondering why on earth you’d want this one instead. Yes, they are almost the same system, however, this one is HEATED. Why do you care? Because if you’ve ever had to jump-start a vehicle in the freezing snow with the jumper cables sticking to your frozen fingers like melted duct tape, you’ll appreciate this feature.
Good to -20ºC (-4ºF), these batteries are one step up from their counterparts on longevity if you live in the same realm as Sasquatch. Not only is this a convenience for you, but the batteries will last longer too. Unless you plan on unhooking your entire system and cozying it up to the fire every time you think the temperatures are about to drop, this is the best lithium battery Canada can do for you. Also, that was a metaphor, highly flammable, please don’t store these next to the fire, any heated garage space will do!

Previously you were not able to connect heated batteries in series. Now with the updated V8 BMS they can be connected in series. However with series connection you need a battery voltage balance. This one from Victron is recommended.

Does the SOK battery have low-temperature protection?
Yes. The BMS inside the battery will prevent charging below 0°C in order to protect the cells. It will allow the battery to discharge in freezing temperatures. If you need to charge the battery in freezing temperatures then we recommend the heated versions.
Can I store these SOK batteries in the cold?
The lowest safe storage temperature is -6°C. For any temperatures below this, you should bring them inside or add a heating pad of some sort. If a heating pad runs out of power and the battery falls below -6°C, damage may occur.
Do the SOK batteries fit into a standard "group size" battery box?
No they are likely too big to fit into standard boxes. Many people put them in tool boxes or any enclosed unit that protects them from the elements. The metal case units are not fully waterproof while the plastic case (marine version) are 100% waterproof.
Can I use any charger on the SOK batteries?
Unfortunately this is not an easy question. If you're charger has an equalize charge voltage that is greater than 14.6 volts then it CANNOT be used. Your total charge amperage should not exceed 50 amps per battery. If you have multiple batteries in parallel then you can combine the max charge amperage. Optimal absorption voltage is 14.4-14.6V and float voltage of 13.6-13.8V.
What is the warranty policy?
The batteries have a 7 year manufacturer warranty. If you are having issues with the battery we are here to help. In the rare case of a warranty claim we will ship you a new battery and deal with the claim with SOK. The 7-year warranty covers anything that fails or doesn't stand up to the manufacturers' specs, and includes both the cells inside and the BMS.

Great battery
I read some good reviews about the SOK batteries and they were not wrong. I have been using AGM batteries for my small electrical needs but the SOK 100Ah LiFePO4 is next level for me. Curious Campervans offered a great deal on the battery and the ordering process was simple and delivery was quick.
If I was running more electrical devices I would have ordered the 206Ah battery but I usually just run a Dometic CFX3 45 Powered fridge/freezer and a few LED lights. On my first test I ran it for 2 1/2 days at 37ºF in an ambient temperature around 70ºF and the SOK battery was still at 75%. I'm very happy with my purchase and the great service.
